Katrina Hand Signs National Letter Of Intent For Florida Institute Of Technology
Lincroft, NJ – Sophomore multi-sport student-athlete Katrina Hand has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Florida Institute of Technology on an academic scholarship. Hand will continue to play softball for the Panthers this coming spring.
Lincroft, NJ – Sophomore multi-sport student-athlete Katrina Hand has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Florida Institute of Technology on an academic scholarship. Hand will continue to play softball for the Panthers this coming spring.
In her two years at Brookdale, the Wall native tallied 254 at bats and totaled 120 hits. Hand recorded 15 doubles, six triples, 40 RBI's, 28 stolen bases and 94 scored runs. For the 2018 season, Hand was named to the first All-Region and All-GSAC teams.
In 2017, Hand was named NJAIAW Woman of the Year.
"I chose Florida Institute of Technology because it has meteorology and I am able to continue to play softball. The school also offers numerous opportunities to work with NASA, The National Weather Service and the Air Force after graduation," she said.
Florida Institute of Technology is a NCAA Division II four-year institution and is a member of the Sunshine State Conference located in Melbourne, FL.
