Softball Splits Against Cecil Seahawks; Olivia Carbone Smashes 3-Run Homer
North East, MD- The Brookdale softball team split the doubleheader against the Seahawks of Cecil College. In game one, the Blues fell, 4-1. Freshman left fielder Taylor Mennie ripped two hits and knocked in the lone run.

North East, MD- The Brookdale softball team split the doubleheader against the Seahawks of Cecil College. In game one, the Blues fell, 4-1. Freshman left fielder Taylor Mennie ripped two hits and knocked in the lone run.
In game two, Brookdale came back and defeated Cecil, 13-2. Freshman first baseman Bethany Evans went 4-4 from the plate and drove in one RBI while freshman catcher Olivia Carbone smashed a three-run homer.
Sophomore pitcher Victoria Vogt recorded her fourth win of the season from the mound.
The team improves their overall record to 8-8 and will return to action on the road against Atlantic Cape Community College on Tuesday, March 29th.
