Brookdale's Mateo And Williams Earn Spots On NJCAA DIII All-American Team
Lincroft, NJ - Following a dream season for the Brookdale Community College's men's basketball team, standout sophomore point guard Kevin Mateo, and freshman guard, Nick Williams, got some more good news by earning a spot on the NJCAA DIII All-American team.
Lincroft, NJ - Following a dream season for the Brookdale Community College's men's basketball team, two standouts, sophomore point guard Kevin Mateo, and freshman guard, Nick Williams, got some more good news by earning a spot on the NJCAA DIII All-American team.
The Jersey Blues earned National Champion status after defeating the Sandhills Community College Flyers on March 18th, 90-82, to finish the season with an overall record of 30-3. Mateo (Hackensack High School), received First Team All-American after totaling 17.3 points per game, 129 assists, 70 steals, and shot 84.8% from the foul line. Nick Williams (Elmwood Park High School) secured Third Team, and finished the season averaging 16.2 points per game (535 total), with 54 assists, 61 steals, and 28 blocks.
