GSAC President Keir Livingston of Mercer CCC commented: "We are proud of our new look and think this helps us promote our athletic programs and recruit talented students from NJ and elsewhere to join our programs. The conference has a history of great success and moving forward we want to continue to highlight that and all of the accomplishments of our graduates. Thanks to our friends at RVCC who did a great job working on this new logo and all who contributed."
Livingston also provided an update for members on the 2021-22 athletic seasons. The key announcement for students-athletes is a return to the Fall season for the sports of M/W Soccer, W Volleyball, W Tennis, M/W Cross Country and Football. Men's and Women's Basketball and Wrestling will return to the Winter and traditional Spring sports will take place in their normal time frame. Scheduling models have been put in place for Fall and Winter sports and institutions have begun the schedule-making process. The conference continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and will prioritize the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, officials, and staff but leadership is hopeful that the impact of the pandemic will lessen restrictions starting in the Fall semester.
