Jersey Blues Win Region XIX - North Atlantic A District Championship
Toms River, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team defeated Ocean County College by a score of 2-0 to win the Region XIX tournament North Atlantic A Championship. The victory raised the team's record to 12-1-1 overall and 8-0 in Region play.

Toms River, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team defeated Ocean County College by a score of 2-0 to win the Region XIX tournament North Atlantic A Championship. The victory raised the team's record to 12-1-1 overall and 8-0 in Region play.
The team was led by sophomore defender Dayna Van Pelt and sophomore forward Jenna Karabin who were named Defensive and Offensive MVPs of the tournament, respectively. Karabin netted the first goal in the 12th minute of play while sophomore defender Rebecca Gorenstein ripped the second goal with four minutes remaining in the half. Freshman forward Jada Trotta dished Karabin's assist.
Freshman defender Emily Clayton controlled the defensive line as freshmen goalkeepers Rebeckah Trumble and Noelle Gibbons combined for the shutout. This was a true team victory. Every student-athlete stepped up, played great and contributed in the ninety minute contest.
The Jersey Blues now advance to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament, which will begin on Thursday, November 14th at Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, NY.
