Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues blanked the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars in a seven inning, 17-0, win to start their three game series.
Sophomore third baseman, Rocko Brzezniak, led the Blues with his 3-for-4 at bats, including a two-run homer and a solo homer for four RBI's. Sophomore shortstop, Hunter Serrano, cashed in a two-run homer in the 8th inning, and totaled three RBI's in the win. Both freshman, Ryan Schmidt, and Giovanni Sive, each had doubles and two RBI's, and sophomore Nick LoVarco, added two RBI's off of his 2-for-3 at bats. Undefeated freshman pitcher, Jake Burt, captured his 9th win in 6.0 innings with 10 strikeouts.
Brookdale continues their series against Lehigh Carbon on Saturday, May 4th, with a 12:00pm start on the road.
