Duerr's Hat-Trick Leads Brookdale Passed Burlington In Season Opener
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's soccer team defeated Burlington County College, 4-1. The Jersey Blues came out strong, putting away two goals within the first five minutes of the game. Sophomore forward Caroline Duerr tallied 3 goals and 1 assist for the team.

Sophomore midfielder Raquel Rodriguez extended the Brookdale lead as she hit the back of the net in the 4th minute to go up 2-0.
Late in the second half, sophomore defender Amanda Anastasia sailed an indirect free kick to the head of freshman forward Kimberly D'Ermilio who passed the ball along to Duerr to sink the fourth and final goal for the Blues.
Freshman goalkeeper Marti Stewart made 6 saves and stopped the Barons' penalty kick. Sophomore center-midfielder Brooke Tartis contributed two assists for the Jersey Blues.
The Blues will travel to Rowan College at Gloucester County on Saturday, September 6th for a 12pm kick-off.
