Myrtle Beach, SC- The Brookdale softball team was edged by the Generals of Herkimer College, 7-1. Freshman first baseman Bethany Evans knocked in the Blues lone run with a single.
In game two, the Jersey Blues turned it up and downed the Hawks of Mohawk Valley Community College, 7-0. Freshman pitcher Lauren Coppinger earned the win from the mound striking out four batters.
Sophomore third baseman Jacquie Coulahan went three for three from the plate while freshman third baseman Danelle Lewis and freshman utility Megan Mego each recorded two-run singles.
The team improves their overall record to 4-4 and will face Southeastern Illinois College and Mohawk Valley Community College on Wednesday, Match 16th.
