Myrtle Beach, SC- Freshman left fielder Taylor Mennie led the Jersey Blues softball team to victory against the Lazers of Onondaga Community College, 9-1. Mennie posted a three-run home run and a solo home run for Brookdale, totaling her fourth for the season.
Freshman pitcher Danelle Lewis collected the win from the mound while sophomores Jacquie Coulahan and Taylor Sheridan posted two hits apiece.
In game two against Del-Tech Owens, the Blues fell 3-1. Mennie and freshman first baseman Bethany Evans recorded two hits each. Mennie also knocked out her fifth home run.
The team improves their overall record to 3-3 and will face Herkimer College and Mohawk Valley Community College on Tuesday, March 15th.
