Sara Vocisano Rips Six; Blues Take Two From Mercy JV
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team downed the JV Mavericks of Mercy College, 7-0 and 6-4. In game one, freshman outfielder Sara Vocisano ripped 2 doubles and a single and scored 4 of the 7 runs for the Blues. Sophomore pitcher Samantha Hosey threw 10 strikeouts for the shutout.

Sophomore DH Krystal Pearson knocked in 2 runs with a single and double.
In game two, relief pitcher Hosey grabbed the win, striking out 4 batters and giving up 1 hit. Vocisano went 3-3 with 2 singles, a double and 2 scored runs.
Sophomore center fielder Cassidy Brzozowski smacked a 3-run homer in the first inning; her 6th of the year.
The team improves their record to 29-4 overall. The Jersey Blues return to action on Monday, April 21st against Middlesex County College.
