Hosey Perfect in Game One; Softball Sinks Bucs in Doubleheader

Mays Landing, NJ-Brookdale softball proved to be no match for Atlantic Cape taking both games of the doubleheader 13-0 and 19-1. Sam Hosey, Brookdale's game one starter, pitched a perfect game.
In game one, Hosey struck out 12 batters in the perfect game that saw 15 batters up and 15 batters down. Courtney Semkewyc provided the offensive punch at the plate including two doubles, two RBI's and three runs scored.
Krystal Pearson was a perfect 5 for 5 at the plate in game 2. She drove in six RBI's with three of her five hits that were doubles. Kaitlyn Kretzmer was the winning pitcher with 4 strikeouts for the game two victory.
The wins improve the Jersey Blues to 7-4 on the season. Brookdale softball will next travel to Sussex County Community College on Tuesday, March 25 for a 3 pm doubleheader.
