Georgian Court had multiple opportunities in the first half but was unable to convert. In the 46th minute, a questionable call by the referee awarded a penalty kick to the Lions, which they converted to take a 1–0 lead.
Just two minutes later, Zion Tomlinson played a ball over the top of the back line to Billy Murawski, who one-timed a volley over the keeper's head to level the score at 1–1.
Six minutes later, Georgian Court had several chances inside the box blocked before finally scoring on a header to retake the lead.
Brookdale pushed forward late in the match searching for the equalizer, but time ran out before they could find it.
Brookdale (6-6) now faces a quick turnaround as they travel to Vineland, NJ, for a pivotal matchup against the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes on Tuesday, October 7th, beginning at 4:00pm.
