Toms River, NJ - The Brookdale men's soccer team fell short in a 2-0 loss to the Ocean County College Vikings in a conference match-up.
The Vikings found the opener in the 7th minute on a pass that slipped behind the backline for a breakaway. They added a second goal in the 34th minute after a turnover in the defensive third resulted in an own goal.
Brookdale battled to push forward late, creating pressure, but were unable to convert any chances. Freshman goalkeeper, Klaud Martyna, posted four saves for the Jersey Blues.
Brookdale (3-4) will travel to Bethlehem, PA, to play the Northampton Community College Spartans on Thursday, September 25th, at 4:00pm.
