Mays Landing, NJ - The Brookdale men improved their record to 10-5 after defeating the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers 92-79 in a GSAC match-up Tuesday night.
The Jersey Blues remain consistent in the wins category (currently eight in a row), and did not disappoint against the Bucs with as much as a 26 point lead and five players scoring in double figures. Leading the pack was freshman forward, Jeremiah Fleurant (Arts High School), who bucketed 21 points. Sophomore forward Tyler Hawkins (Monmouth Regional High School) has hit in double figures his last four shows, striking again with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Wall High School's Clarence Celius also tallied a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, as the freshman guards, Dameire Fitch (Marist High School), and Adam Kukaj (Tottenville High School) connected for 14 and 12 points each.
The Blues will hit the road to Carneys Point, NJ on Thursday, January 23rd, to battle the Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College @ 6:00pm.
