Bio

David Tomkins was hired in December 2016 as Coordinator of Athletics and Recreation.

Tomkins is responsible for coordinating Brookdale's intramural programs, athletic facilities, equipment, apparel, and game day operations. He is also responsible for managing the schedules of all 12 intercollegiate programs, including travel. 

David came to Brookdale with valuable college athletics experience. Before starting at Brookdale, he worked at Ramapo College as a facility supervisor in the athletics department and interned for seven months at Rutgers University. Tomkins also worked in minor league baseball, specifically in game day operations, marketing, and sales for the Sussex County Miners located in Augusta, New Jersey.

“I am honored and extremely happy to be part of this Brookdale Athletics staff.  I know Brookdale has a great reputation in Athletics and I plan to do my best to honor that reputation and help build on it.” commented Tomkins.

Tomkins graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science degree in Sport Administration. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies at Montclair State University.

David currently resides in Verona, NJ.
