Cross Country Crushes Highlander Challenge
Newark, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's cross country team had some outstanding performances at the Highlander Cross Country Challenge at Branch Brook Park.
Newark, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's cross country team had some outstanding performances at the Highlander Cross Country Challenge at Branch Brook Park.
The Blues were led by freshman Liam Broadhurst who ran the men`s 8K and placed 76th in a time of 29:28. Broadhurst set a personal best time by one minute and twenty-nine seconds. Freshman Michael Smith placed 123rd in a time of 32:32. Smith also notched a personal best time, improving by more than three minutes. Sophomore Ryan Loehr improved his pace by three minutes, placing 129th in a time of 33:00. Freshman Branden Mesia rounded out the team with a time of 33:24. Mesia tallied a personal best time by two minutes and fifty-eight seconds.
The team will next compete on Saturday, October 12th at DeSales Invitational in Center Valley P.A.
