Shannon Kelley Runs PB At Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle
Glassboro, NJ- The Brookdale cross country teams competed at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle. The meet featured over 1,000 runners throughout nationally ranked NCAA DIII schools, which serves as a preview for their Regional championship meet.

On the women's side in the 6K race, freshman Shannon Kelley ran a PB of (26:02.30) while sophomore Hannah Fite completed the race at a personal record of (26:52.30). Freshman Rizwana Khan came in at a season best time of (28:54.30) as sophomore Tierra Hackley rounded out the race at a time of (29:13.70). Johns Hopkins University won the championship and open races.
On the men's side, the course ended up being 7800 meters. Freshman William Nemeth ran a time of (29:57.50) while freshman Robert Arroyo finished with a time of (33:01.50). #1 ranked SUNY Geneseo won the championship race, while Rowan won the open race.
The Jersey Blues will have two weeks to train for the NJCAA Region XIX championships on Sunday, October 30th at Branch Brook Park.
