Cross Country Finishes NJIT Highlander Race; Trigg And Caputo Hit Personal Bests

Newark, NJ- The Brookdale Jersey Blues competed at the NJIT Highlander XC Meet on Saturday October 3rd. 123 runners competed in the men’s race. In the 8K race, sophomore Robert Trigg hit a personal best of (30:09.59), placing 45th, while freshman Daniel Caputo hit a personal best with a time of (30:27.93). Caputo placed 49th.

Newark, NJ- The Brookdale Jersey Blues competed at the NJIT Highlander XC Meet on Saturday October 3rd. 123 runners competed in the men's race. In the 8K race,  sophomore Robert Trigg hit a personal best of (30:09.59), placing 45th, while freshman Daniel Caputo hit a personal best with a time of (30:27.93). Caputo placed 49th.

On the women's side, 150 runners competed in the 5K race. Sophomore Sarah Dzurina ran a PR of (21:47.92), placing 51st. Freshman Hannah Fite ran a (21:59.69), placing 56th, followed by freshman Tierra Hackley in 57th place with a time of (22:07.91). Sophomore Kaleigh Jordan ran a season best of (22:11.11), placing 59th, with sophomore Ana Ventura rounding out the team with a (25:21.95). The women placed 11th out of 20 teams that attended the meet.

 

Brookdale will next compete at the Cougar Chase at Caldwell College on Saturday October 17th.
