Women's Cross Country Successfully Navigate The Philadelphia Metro Invitational Course
Philadelphia, PA - The Brookdale women's cross country team had a successful, and very hot, season opening meet in Belmont Plateau Park for the Philadelphia Metro Invitational. The course was extremely difficult; a top course on the east coast, but the women nagivated the 5k course superbly.
Philadelphia, PA - The Brookdale women's cross country team had a successful, and very hot, season opening meet in Belmont Plateau Park for the Philadelphia Metro Invitational. The course was extremely difficult; a top course on the east coast, but the women navigated the 5k course superbly.
Three freshman made their Brookdale women's cross country debut, as the team was led by freshman Brooke Meberg (Ocean Township High School) who placed 60th with a time of 24:48, and was the second junior college woman to cross the line. Meberg was followed by freshman Madison Fernadez (Keansburg High School) placing 79th overall with a time of 27:02, and was the third junior college woman to finish. Rounding out the team was freshman Angelina Lardiere (Toms River North High School) placing 87th with a time of 28:48. Lardiere was the 6th junior college women to complete the race.
Next Saturday, September 16th, the women's team will travel to Galloway, NJ, to run in the Osprey Open, hosted by Stockton College. The gun goes off at 10:30 am for the 6K race.
