Brookdale Goes To The 5th Set To Edge RCSJ-Gloucester, 3-2
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale women's volleyball were up 2-0 in their match against RCSJ-Gloucester until the Roadrunners earned consecutive points, building their spirits to climb back and take sets three and four. The Blues pulled it together to dominate the 5th set, 15-6, for the 3-2 game win.

Earning 14 points a piece for the Jersey Blues win was sophomore right side hitter Lyndsay Truchan topping 11 kills, three aces, and 22 digs, and freshman middle hitter, Gabriella Smith, with nine kills, three aces, and two blocks. Both contributing 12 points were, freshman middle hitter, Gabrielle Guida, adding 10 kills and two blocks, while freshman outside hitter, Isabella Dalatri, posted five kills and seven aces.
Brookdale is seeded 6th in the Region 19 standings and will face the Ocean County College Vikings in the first round of the post season on Saturday, October 21st at 3:30pm.
