Brookdale Faces Tough Match-Up Against Rowan College At Gloucester County
Sewell, NJ- Brookdale faced a tough match-up against the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County on Thursday night. The women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets, 0-3 (20-25, 19-25, 18-25).

The Blues started strong with a 6-0 rally in the first set. As the set continued, the Roadrunners slowly started to come back. Throughout the next two sets, the team struggled to regain the lead despite closing the gap. In the final set, freshman middle hitter Melanie Hobbis aced three serves in a row, giving Brookdale an opportunity to take the lead, but errors were detrimental to the loss.
Defensively, freshmen liberos Samarie Hernandez and Samira Hernandez combined for 42 digs.
The team will look to regroup before traveling to Bergen Community College for a conference match-up on Saturday, September 8th at noon.
