Women's Tennis Falls To Ocean; Smilovic and Benadum Win Tough Doubles Match, 9-7

Lincroft, NJ- The Brokdale women's tennis team was defeated by the Vikings of Ocean County College, 5-4.  The Jersey Blues took two out of three in doubles matches. Sophomore Grace Wills and freshman Belle Wingert posted an 8-2 victory at first doubles while freshmen Emily Smilovic and Alexis Benadum downed their opponent, 9-7 at second doubles.

Wills also earned a 6-4, 6-3 win at first singles. Wingert collected her second win at third singles to give the Blues their 4th and final point of the match.

The team returns to action at Bergen Community College on Thursday, September 18th.
