Lincroft, NJ – A pair of goals from freshman forward Lauren Karabin and sophomore defender Madison Doria led the Brookdale women's soccer team past the Dukes of Cumberland County College, 8-0.
Karabin got the scoring started early with a header in the fifth minute and Doria scored on a header of her own five minutes later. Sophomore midfielder Jessica Textor scored Brookdale's third goal in the 12th minute, assisted by Karabin. Sophomore midfielder/forward Christine Albano scored Brookdale's fourth goal, and sophomore goalkeeper Mya Schaumloffel scored the fifth and final goal of the first half. Doria, Karabin and freshman forward/defender Rebecca Gorenstein scored for Brookdale in the second half.
The Jersey Blues improve to 11-0 on the season and return to the field on Saturday, October 6th when they host Rowan College at Burlington County for a noon kickoff.
