Brookdale Tops Northampton Spartans In Region Play
Middletown, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team topped the Spartans of Northampton Community College, 9-0. Freshman midfielder Lorena Santiago and sophomore defender Devon Moreno collected their first goals of the season. Santiago also contributed one assist.

Middletown, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team topped the Spartans of Northampton Community College, 9-0. Freshman midfielder Lorena Santiago and sophomore defender Devon Moreno collected their first goals of the season. Santiago also contributed one assist.
The Jersey Blues maintained possession and kept a strong forward momentum throughout the match-up. Freshman forward Lauren Karabin and freshman midfielder Haley Dalonzo recorded two goals and two assists apiece as sophomore midfielders Jessica Textor and Christine Albano buried a goal each. Albano also added two assists while freshman defender Rebecca Gorenstein posted one assist.
Sophomore defender Madison Doria headed in the final goal of the game off a late corner kick. Sophomore goalkeepers Sophia Goos and Mya Schaumloffel combined for the shutout.
The team improves their overall record to 9-0 and will next face-off against the Dukes of Cumberland County College at home on Tuesday, October 2nd at 3:30pm.
