Baltimore, MD- The Jersey Blues women's soccer team tied the DI Knights of CCBC Essex after 110 minutes of play. Freshman forward Gianna Murphy put Brookdale on the board first after recording a goal in the 19th minute of play. Sophomore defender Amy Beringer collected the assist.

Baltimore, MD- The Jersey Blues women's soccer team tied the DI Knights of CCBC Essex after 110 minutes of play. Freshman forward Gianna Murphy put Brookdale on the board first after recording a goal in the 19th minute of play. Sophomore defender Amy Beringer collected the assist.
The Knights answered back before the first half was over to tie the game. Freshman goalkeeper Sophia Goos grabbed 11 saves in the match-up while freshmen defenders Devon Moreno, Alexis Cuje, Kelly Negra and Brianna Quezada held tight in the back. Freshman center-midfielder Jessica Textor controlled the play in the middle of the field.
The team will next travel to Sussex County Community College on Thursday, September 28th for a 3:30pm kick-off. Brookdale's overall record stands at 5-1-2.
