Brookdale Women Claw Back For The Win Down The Stretch vs Sussex

Lincroft, NJ - In an exciting and satisfying finish, the Brookdale women's basketball team clawed to tie it up, then took the lead midway through the 4th quarter against the Sussex County Community College Skylanders to end the game with a 58-51 win.

Jersey Blues had four players in double-figure stats with sophomore guard Ashley Ventura leading the way. Ventura nailed 20 points, 13 rebounds and four assists while partner freshman guard, Emily O'Keefe, deposited 13 points and four steals. Freshman guard, Camila Garcia, contributed 11 points and four steals as well, and freshman forward/center, Madison Fernandez, grabbed 12 rebounds (174 total on the season) and five steals.

Brookdale (4-11) will look to add another win to their season as they host the Passaic County College Panthers on Tuesday, February 6th, at 5:00pm.
