#ChillinforCharity Douses Brookdale Athletics

#Chillin4Charity, a social media awareness campaign for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, came to the Brookdale campus on July 8 and left two top athletic officials all wet. Brookdale Athletic Director Shawn Noel and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Bob Dubina voluntarily got doused with gallons of near-freezing water in support of the campaign, which has become a national phenomenon this summer.

Women's Basketball Captures Third Place At National Tournament; Team Receives Sportsmanship Award

Rochester, MN- Brookdale downed Anoka Ramsey, 64-49, to clinch third place in the Women's NJCAA National Basketball Tournament. The Jersey Blues led 28-17 at the half and built the lead to 21 points in the second half. Leading scorer, sophomore guard Marina Lukianov tallied 13 points for the Blues.

Rochester, MN- The women's basketball team fell to the Golden Eagles of Rock Valley College, 27-54. Sophomore guard Lauren Bowler scored 7 of the Blues 27 points.

Marina Lukianov And Posts Lead Brookdale To Victory Over Sullivan In Quarter-Finals Of National Tournament

Rochester, MN- The women's basketball team defeated Sullivan County Community College, 74-71. The Blues played a hard game and never let up. Sophomore guard Marina Lukianov led the team with 18 points.

Lincroft, NJ- Freshman forward Marya Trapp was named Region XIX Player of the Year. She was also named to the First All- Region Team. Sophomore guard Paxton Reddington was named to the Second All-Region Team.

Blackwood, NJ- The women's basketball team defeated Camden County College, 80-68. Sophomore center Samantha Carlson double-doubled with 15 points, 15 rebounds and 7 blocked shots. Freshman forward Marya Trapp double-doubled for the sixth time this season with 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Lincroft, NJ – Trailing at the half for one of the few times this season, the Jersey Blues (20-2, 12-0) overcame a 31-30 halftime deficit to score 42 second half points, while holding Northampton Pa. (12-5, 8-1) to 19 points in a 72-50 win Thursday night at Collins Arena.
