Shevlin & Sigler Selected To Softball DIII First Team All-American Team
Lincroft, NJ - The NJCAA Division III Softball Committee have made their selections for the All-American Team and two Brookdale Jersey Blues have earned spots for their first team.
Lincroft, NJ - The NJCAA Division III Softball Committee have made their selections for the All-American Team and two Brookdale Jersey Blues have earned spots for first team.
Freshman utility player Mallory Shevlin (Middletown North High School), and sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler (Middletown North High School), were impeccable in their positions this season. In Sigler's 45 games, not much got past her in the field with a .936 fielding percentage and a rocket arm as she added a .391 batting average with 21 RBI's, four home runs, and 14 stolen bases.
Stud player Shevlin earned respect in the circle as well as in the field. She appeared in 44 games total, threw 195 strikeouts including eight shutouts with a 3.13 ERA for an overall 16-8 record. Mallory also chalked up a .918 fielding percentage, batted .385, put up five home runs and 39 RBI's.
