Bel Air, MD - Brookdale softball fought off the Harford Community College Fighting Owls in late afternoon double wins, 4-0, 5-2, to extend their winning streak to six with a 13-3 overall record.

Bel Air, MD - Brookdale softball fought off the Harford Community College Fighting Owls in late afternoon double wins, 4-0, 5-2, to extend their winning streak to six with a 13-3 overall record.
Sophomore pitcher, Gianna Praet (7-1), displayed a fine performance in the game one, 4-0 defeat, with her two-hit shutout then added a two-run double on offense. Freshman second baseman, Mallory Shevlin, pounded a solo home run, her second of the season, and sophomore shortstop, Nicolette Pavlik, added an RBI single to blank the Fighting Owls.
The second game three-run 7th inning was highlighted by RBI singles from shortstop, Gianna Praet, and pitcher, Mallory Shevlin. The explosive inning was topped off by an RBI double by sophomore catcher, Zoey Hagan, her second double, as sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler, thumped two doubles as well. The win in the circle went to Mallory Shevlin (6-2) with 10 strikeouts.
Brookdale (13-3) hosts NJCAA #6 nationally ranked, RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners on Thursday, April 13th, at 3:30pm.
