Schnecksville, PA - The Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars were backed down by the Brookdale Jersey Blues softball team in their Region 19 match-up in their dual five inning victory sweep of 13-0, and 11-2.

Schnecksville, PA - The Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars were backed down by the Brookdale Jersey Blues softball team in their Region 19 match-up in two five inning victories of 13-0, and 11-2. 

The Blues won the won the first game with freshman pitcher Mallory Shevlin keeping the batters at bay with her one-hitter, eight strikeout win. Shevlin also went 2-for-3 with three RBI's, and sophomore left fielder, Madison Parrish, stung with a two-run triple. Sophomore catcher, Zoey Hagan, and sophomore third baseman, Nicolette Pavlik, added two hits a piece.

It was sophomore pitcher, Gianna Praet, helping to capture the second win with one earned run and seven strikeouts to improve to 6-1. Nicolette Pavlik once again hit 2-for-3, adding  three more RBI's including a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Zoey Hagan, Mallory Shevlin, and Gianna Praet all went 2-for-3. 
 
Next, the 11-3 Jersey Blues head to visit the Harford Community College Fighting Owls in Maryland, on Tuesday, April 11th, with a 3:00pm start.
