Catonsville, MD - The Jersey Blues softball team dropped two opening day losses to the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals 6-1, 6-5.
In game one, first year second baseman, Brittany Campbell, had two hits with three at bats including a double and a single as sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler, singled for Brookdale's sole RBI.
For the 6-5 second game loss, Blues first baseman, Brittany Campbell, and pitcher Mallory Shevlin, both went 3-4 with doubles and two singles. Sophomore shortstop, Nicolette Pavlik, struck for two hits including a 2-run single. Shevlin threw 10 strikeouts in a losing cause.
Brookdale (0-2) faces the CC Morris Titans at home on Tuesday, March 21st, beginning at 3:00pm.
