Jersey Blues Grab Two Wins Against Lehigh Carbon And Onondaga At National Tournament
Rochester, MN - The Brookdale softball squad grabbed two more wins at the NJCAA national tournament against Lehigh Carbon Community College and Onondaga Community College.

Rochester, MN - The Brookdale softball squad grabbed two more wins at the NJCAA national tournament against Lehigh Carbon Community College and Onondaga Community College.
In game one against the Lehigh Carbon Cougars, the Blues earned the 12-3 five-inning win. Freshman first baseman Megan Masi went 3-3 and knocked in five runs while freshman outfielder Felicia Kuegler connected twice and brought in three runs. Sophomore right-handed pitcher Jessica Pszeniczny notched her 24th victory from the mound.
In game two action against the Onondaga Lazers, Brookdale tallied the 9-4 victory. Sophomore second baseman Elizabeth Dorsa posted three hits and one RBI as sophomore shortstop Alyssa Raimondo went 2-4 and added two RBI's. Freshman third baseman Shakyra Moore contributed two hits and one RBI as freshman infielder Alyssa Vetrano knocked in two runs off a sacrifice fly. Freshman pitcher Katy McGovern tossed for her 15th win while Pszeniczny recorded the 2.1 innings of hit-less relief for the save.
The team will return to action on Saturday, May 25th at noon against Rock Valley College. The winner will advance to the national championship game. The team that falls will take third place.
