Sophomore first baseman Bethany Evans posted three RBI's while sophomore right-handed pitcher Lauren Coppinger collected the win in relief.
In game two, the Blues came up short by two runs and lost, 9-7 in the eighth inning on a walk-off home-run. Sophomore left-fielder Taylor Mennie ripped a solo home-run and knocked in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning from a double. Freshman first baseman Veronica Woehr notched one double, one single and two RBI's.
Brookdale improves their overall record to 3-1 and will return to action in Myrtle Beach, SC on Sunday, March 12th against the Generals of Herkimer College and the Hawks of Mohawk Valley Community College.
