Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's volleyball team suffered their first program loss to the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers, 3-0, with scores of 25-13, 25-22, and 25-12.
Freshman outside hitter, Jonny Ortega ( Old Bridge High School) led the Jersey Blues with 11 swings, five kills, and eight digs. Freshman setter, Jordy Castillo-Basurto (West Orange High School), deposited 11 assists, and freshman libero, Nick Nizza (Howell High School), added five digs.
Brookdale (0-1) will travel to visit the Northampton Community College Spartans next on Monday, February 26th, for a 6:00pm start.
