Mostafa Moamen, Safie Moamen, Emir Hamzic And Jacob Evans Win National Championships; Men's Tennis Places Second At NJCAA National Tennis Tournament
Plano, TX- The Brookdale men's tennis team placed second overall at the NJCAA National Tennis Tournament. Four student-athletes became individual national champions based on their performances in their respective matches.
Plano, TX- The Brookdale men's tennis team placed second overall at the NJCAA National Tennis Tournament. Four student-athletes became individual national champions based on their performances in their respective matches.
Freshman Safie Moamen took the national title in second singles after defeating Rockland Community College in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. Sophomore Jacob Evans grabbed the national title at fourth singles after taking down Oxford College in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles action, sophomore Mostafa Moamen and Safie Moamen posted a national title win at first doubles against Onondaga Community College in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. And the final national championship title Brookdale took home came from second doubles partners, sophomore Emir Hamzic and Jacob Evans, who defeated Oxford College in three sets, 7-6(2), 3-6, 7-5.
