Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's soccer team had a tough outing against the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners, losing 1-0 in a very wet conference battle.
Brookdale worked the ball well and had so many opportunities at the net with 12 shots on goal, but couldn't produce. The Blues were issued a penalty at the 60:00 mark and the Roadrunners capitalized with the lone goal of the game.
Throughout the game, SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), and the Athletics Department, advocated for Ovarian Cancer Awareness with informational material and a refreshment area for donations to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. The men's and women's soccer teams also helped spread the word by wearing teal colored t-shirts which represents the official color of ovarian cancer during warm-ups with the slogan, Brookdale Kicks For Cancer.
Brookdale 8-6-2 will face the Raritan Valley Community College Lions on Tuesday, October 17th, 3:30pm, for their final game of the regular season.
