Jersey Blues Men's Soccer Tie It Up With The Camden Cougars, 2-2

Lincroft, NJ - The 8-0 Camden County College Cougars left the Brookdale soccer field with their first tie after an intense second half comeback against the Jersey Blues men.

The Cougars scored the first two goals in the intense game within the first nine minutes of play. The Jersey Blues held their own defensively with the help of sophomore goalie Ajani Bruney with five saves. Brookdale put in their first goal in with 12:36 remaining on the clock in the 2nd half when freshman midfielder, Jose Rincon, sent a pass to fellow freshman midfielder, Ricardo Mozo-Mendoza, for the goal. At the 84:10 mark, a card was issued to Camden for a Brookdale penalty kick and freshman defender, Brent Glantz, put it in the back of the net to tie the game up. 

Brookdale (6-5-1) will play the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners at home next on Saturday, October 14th at 12:00pm. The women Jersey Blues will play following the men at 2:30pm.

In addition, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee & the Athletic Department will host a fundraiser for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance as part of their community service initiative for ovarian cancer awareness.
