Men's Soccer Defeats Hudson Valley CC From PK Line In Overtime In The First Match-Up Of The Season
Dryden, NY- The Jersey Blues men's soccer team defeated the Vikings of Hudson Valley Community College, 2-1 from the penalty kick line in the season opener. In the second half, sophomore forward Guilherme DeNovaes scored the first goal of the game from a penalty kick while sophomore forward Hakeem Wood ripped the game winning penalty kick with seconds left on the clock in the first overtime period.

Sophomore defender Stevenley Joseph played a great defensive match as freshman goalkeeper Matthew Ribot kept the Blues in the game from the net.
The team will next face Holyoke Community College on Sunday, August 28th at Tompkins Cortland Community College at 10:00am.
