Sussex Surrenders To The Jersey Blue Men, 82-59

Newton, NJ - The Sussex County Community College Skylanders surrendered to the Brookdale men's basketball squad in an 82-59 final. The Skylanders were ahead 32-31 at halftime and then the Blues went on a late second half 24 point run to pull away to victory.

Freshman forward, Devyn Wright-Myles, lead Brookdale with 25 points as Sophomore guard, Latrell Thompson, hit for 21 points and four assists. Also posting double figures were sophomores, Regan Burke with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Jack Zink who added 10 points. To be noted, sophomore guard, Bruce Gooding, dished nine assists while freshman guard, Ariel Perez, contributed eight assists.

Brookdale (18-7) completed their regular season games and will move to the first round of the Region 19 Tournament on Saturday, February 22nd, as they take on the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners, with the tip-off at 1:00pm.
