Jersey Blues Men Saw Down The Salem Mighty Oaks 107-67
Lincroft, NJ - Fresh off of the winter holidays, the Brookdale Jersey Blues men continued their winning streak with a 107-67 win over the Salem Community College Mighty Oaks in conference division match up.
Lincroft, NJ - Fresh off of the winter holidays, the Brookdale Jersey Blues men continued their winning streak with a 107-67 win over the Salem Community College Mighty Oaks in conference division match up.
The 12-0 Blues sawed through the first half with a 55-30 lead and never looked back. Sophomore forward/center, Darnell Askew, earned his first double-double on the year with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Not far behind was freshman forward/center, Phillip Byrd, with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Additional double figure scorers were freshman forward, Savon Myers, with 19, sophomore forward, Manny Bell, with 10 points and freshman guard, Jack Zink, dropped 10 as well. Freshman point guard, Kareem Kelsey, made his debut with five assists.
Brookdale heads to Cranford, NJ, to play the Union College Owls on Saturday, January 13th with a 12pm start.
