Brookdale Men Close Out December With Fourth Consistent Win
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men concluded their first semester of games on a promising note, beating the Sussex County College Skylanders 74-64, making it their fourth win in a row and boosting their record to 6-5.
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men concluded their first semester of games on a promising note, beating the Sussex County College Skylanders 74-64, making it their fourth win in a row, and boosting their record to 6-5.
Down by 10 points early in the half, the Blues combated, but earned the half time lead and widening the point divide well into the second half. At the two minute mark, the Skylanders squeezed back into the game within a tight three points until a couple of clutch baskets from freshman forward, Jelani Carter, and freshman guard Ian Felix (10 points, six assist) put the Blues ahead for the win.
Brookdale's freshman guards had a big night as Beyon Wilson led the group with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Allen Ozojie dropped 12, and Adam Kukaj added 11 points.
The Jersey Blues return to the Robert J. Collins Arena for their first game of 2020 on Thursday, January 9th, vs the Bergen Community College Bulldogs @ 7:00pm.
