Men’s Basketball Drops Opener To Borough Of Manhattan Community College
New York, NY – The Brookdale men's basketball program, ranked No. 1 in the country in the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Preseason Rankings, lost their season opener on the road to the Panthers of Borough of Manhattan Community College, 115-95.

New York, NY – The Brookdale men's basketball program, ranked No. 1 in the country in the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Preseason Rankings, lost their season opener on the road to the Panthers of Borough of Manhattan Community College, 115-95.
Freshman guard Lamar Johnson led the Jersey Blues with 26 points on 9-16 from the floor, including 8-14 from deep. Freshman guard Keyshawn Cummings scored 20 points in his collegiate debut on 8-15 from the floor, including 4-9 from 3-point range. Sophomore forward Terra Gatling led Brookdale with eight rebounds and Cummings led the team with eight assists. Brookdale shot 48.7 percent (38-78) from the floor as a team.
The team will return to action at home on Saturday, November 10th to face the Dukes of Cumberland County College at 2pm.
