Jersey Blues Cruise Into The Finals; Sophomore Kerry Kirkwood Notches 18 Points
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's basketball team defeated the Northampton Spartans 100-77 to advance to the Region XIX DIII finals. Sophomore point guard Kerry Kirkwood led all scorers with 18 points while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Lincroft, NJ – The Brookdale men's basketball team defeated the Northampton Spartans 100-77 to advance to the Region XIX DIII finals. Sophomore point guard Kerry Kirkwood led all scorers with 18 points while shooting 50 percent from the field.
Brookdale was up by one to start the second half but with a charged offense ended up with a 23 point win over the Spartans. Kirkwood wasn't the only one to score in double digits as four other Jersey Blues ended in double figures. Most notably, sophomore forward Sky Harris ended the game with a double-double. The Edison, NJ native finished with 14 points while being aggressive on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds.
Northampton's freshman forward Isiah Hinton-Gray had a stat line similar to Harris, finishing with 14 points and 11 rebounds to secure himself a double-double in the loss.
The Jersey Blues move on to face the Camden County College Cougars who defeated the #1 seed Passaic Panthers earlier today. The Blues and Cougars will face off on Sunday, March 5th at 3pm at Collins Arena for the Region XIX Championship.
