Men’s Basketball Cruises Past Cumberland
Lincroft, NJ – The Brookdale men’s basketball team capped a successful day at Collins Arena by coming away with a convincing 96-78 victory over the Cumberland County College Dukes.

Lincroft, NJ – The Brookdale men's basketball team capped a successful day at Collins Arena by coming away with a convincing 96-78 victory over the Cumberland County College Dukes.
The Jersey Blues started to pull away at the end of the first half, when they went on a 15-8 run over the last 5:29. Freshman guard Zachary Olukanni and sophomore forward Sky Harris each led the Jersey Blues with 14 points, while sophomore center Jordan Little ended with 13.
Cumberland sophomore guard Kyle Philo led all scorers with 18 points. The Jersey Blues scored exactly 39 points from the field in each half.
The Brookdale Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2017 was honored before the game.
Brookdale has swept the regular season series against Cumberland and now improves to 18-8 overall, 15-4 in Region XIX and 14-4 in the Garden State Athletic Conference. The Blues return to Collins Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 14 when they take on the Community College of Philadelphia at 6 p.m. followed by their final home game of the regular season on Thursday, Feb. 16 when they take on Ocean County College at 5 p.m.
