Brookdale Baseball Tames And Takes The Bronx Broncos In The 7th
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale baseball squad was up 7-0 until the 5th inning when the bats of the Bronx Community College Broncos came alive and errors were strewn on Brookdale's part, allowing five runs. The Blues fought back in the 6th, scoring 11 runs to mercy the Broncos 18-5 in the 7th inning.

Freshman third baseman, Hunter Serrano, was powerful at the dish, hitting 3-for-4, including a dinger, knocking in six huge RBI's. Sophomore left fielder, Marcus Johnson, currently batting .491, batted 3-for-4, hit his 8th homer with a moon shot, then a double for a total of two RBI's with three stolen bases. Tacking on two more RBI's after 3-for-4 at bats including a triple and two stolen bases was sophomore shortstop, Joseph Lomangino. Sophomore catcher, Darius Troche, posted three hits with an RBI triple, and sophomore DH, Christian Bauman, contributed an RBI as well.
The Jersey Blues (24-7) will begin their three-game series on the road against the Middlesex College Blue Colts on Friday, April 14th, at 3:30pm.
