Late 8th Inning Run For The Bergen Bulldogs Not Enough To Catch The Blues
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Blues began their three-game series against the Bergen Community College Bulldogs by keeping them scoreless until the eighth inning when the Bulldogs picked up some momentum to keep things interesting. Bergen scored four, but ran out of steam as Brookdale took the win with a 7-4 final.

Sophomore left fielder, Marcus Johnson, crushed his 7th homer of the season to fire up the Jersey Blues, and sophomore DH, John Wade, went 3-for-4 with a double for two RBI's. Adding two more RBI's was freshman third baseman, Nick Colbert, and sophomore catcher, Darius Troche, affixed an RBI triple. Increasing his pitching record to 4-1, sophomore Ryan Lasko, threw for 7.2 innings with zero earned runs, striking out five, and allowed zero walks.
The Blues (21-7) will continue their three-game series in Paramus, NJ on the Bergen Community College Bulldog field on Saturday, April 8th, beginning at 12:00pm.
