Jersey Blues Baseball Drops Two To Northampton Spartans; Johnson Posts Two Home Runs
Bethlehem, PA - Brookdale baseball dropped two games in the remainder of their three-game against the Northampton Community College Spartans, 10-2, 11-8.
Bethlehem, PA - Brookdale baseball dropped two games in the remainder of their three-game against the Northampton Community College Spartans, 10-2, 11-8.
Despite the 10-2 first game loss, sophomore left fielder, Marcus Johnson, was diligent at the plate, hitting 3-for-4, including a home run to try and help the Blues. Freshman right fielder, Lucca Limeira, made attempts as well with an RBI double.
Brookdale's bats were bigger, but not enough in game two as center fielder, Marcus Johnson, struck again, hitting 4-for-4 with his second homer on the day, adding a double, and putting up three RBI's. Sophomore catcher, Darius Troche, blasted a home run and posted four huge RBI's, and sophomore first baseman, John Wade, added an RBI in the fight with a double.
The Jersey Blues (20-7) are looking to gain some conference wins as they begin their three-game series against the Bergen Community College Bulldogs on Friday, April 7th, at 3:30pm.
