Brookdale Baseball Snags Win From The Northampton Spartans
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College baseball team snagged a win from Pennsylvania's Northampton Community College Spartans, 7-3 in Region 19 play. The Spartans took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning until the Blues cracked the bats in the 2nd, peppering some runs in thereafter, and keeping Northampton scoreless.

Sophomore shortstop, Joseph Lomangino, produced two RBI's with his home run while freshman right fielder, Nick Lovarco, sophomore second baseman, Caleb Carter, freshman third baseman, Nick Colbert, and sophomore DH, John Wade, all got two hits a piece. In all nine innings, serving up 13 strikeouts with only two earned runs and one walk was sophomore standout pitcher, Brendan Williams (5-0).
The Jersey Blues (18-5) are headed to Blackwood, NJ, to face the Cougars of Camden County College for a double-header on Sunday, April 2nd, for a 12:00pm start.
