Brookdale Blanks The Holyoke Cougars 18-0 In 7 Innings
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale's bats were big as they blanked the Holyoke Community College Cougars in seven innings to improve their record to 4-0. Starting sophomore pitcher, Robert Salvatore, earned the win with seven strikeouts in four innings.
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale's bats were big as they blanked the Holyoke Community College Cougars in seven innings to improve their record to 4-0. Starting sophomore pitcher, Robert Salvatore, earned the win with seven strikeouts in four innings.
Sophomore shortstop, Joseph Lomangino, batted 1,000%, drilling in a home run and two doubles to erupt for five RBI's. Just behind Lomangino, sophomore left fielder, Marcus Johnson, posted four RBI's including a home run, adding two stolen bases. Freshman right fielder, Nick Lovarco, poured on more RBI's with his three, while sophomore catcher, Darius Troche, added a double for an RBI as freshman first baseman, Giovanni Sive, and freshman utility player, Mike Kleschinsky, both added RBI's as well.
The Jersey Blues are headed to Myrtle Beach, SC for a spring training 11-game series. They will kick it off with the North Central Missouri College Pirates on Sunday, March 12th.
