Winter Haven, FL- The Brookdale baseball team fell to the Loggers of Lincoln Land Community College, 6-4 and 13-6. In game one, sophomore pitcher Chris Marte threw for six innings, striking out seven batters.
Sophomore short stop Jon Baturgil recorded two hits and two RBI's. Sophomore catcher Aaron Kane and freshman catcher Joel Rivera tallied a stolen base each.
In game two, sophomore third baseman Tim Carney smashed a double and drove in two runs for the Blues while sophomore Baturgil brought in another run after freshman first baseman Joe Sadler knocked in two RBI's.
The team returns to action on Tuesday, March 17th against Niagara County Community College.
